Kevin Federline Alleges That Britney Spears’s Dad Physically Assaulted Their Son

Things took a turn for the unexpected this week in Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s child custody agreement.

As we previously reported, the former couple decided to give Kevin 70 percent custody and Britney 30 percent custody. Now, we’re learning that the agreement is a result of Kevin accusing her dad, Jamie Spears, of allegedly abusing one of their sons.

According to TMZ, Kevin claimed to police that Jamie laid his hands on 13-year-old Sean Preston Federline.

Sources told the outlet that Jamie “allegedly broke down a door to get to the teenager during a fight and grabbed him.” Sean did not bruise from the incident, the outlet reported.

Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told People, “There was a disagreement that occurred while Britney and the children were visiting with Jamie at his home that led to a physical altercation that was observed by [their other son] Jayden. Britney did the right thing and removed the children and took them out of there, but the trauma to the kids is nonetheless.”

Kevin decided not to go ahead with an “evidentiary hearing on the domestic violence order against Jamie” after speaking with Britney’s lawyers and is apparently trying to work things out.

The incident is what prompted Kevin to formalize his and Britney’s custody agreement, according to Mark.

We’ll be following this story as it develops.
