We’re beside ourselves with excitement after hearing that the queen, Viola Davis, is playing another queen… former first lady Michelle Obama.

According to Deadline, Viola is starring as Michelle in a new White House drama for Showtime called First Ladies. The Oscar winner is also executive producing the anthology series.

Season 1 is focusing on the personal and political lives of Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford and of course Michelle Obama. (No word yet on who’s playing Eleanor and Betty.)

Furthermore, the show is written by Aaron Cooley and will be set in the East Wing of the White House. How exciting is this?!
