Would you have watched Woody Harrelson say “You complete me” to Renee Zellweger in the hit movie Jerry Maguire? Well turns out, we almost did.

Woody revealed he almost played the lead role that Tom Cruise made famous, but turned it down for a misinformed reason.

“I was offered — what’s the ‘show me the money’ movie? Jerry Maguire? I was offered Jerry Maguire, and I said to Jim [James L. Brooks, one of the film’s producers], ‘Nobody is going to give a s–t about an agent,’” he told Esquire.

Of course, Tom took home a Golden Globe and was nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards. And co-star Cuba Gooding Jr. took home the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role.

All’s well that ends well… we guess?
