Is Arnold Schwarzenegger Working On A Reboot Of ‘Pumping Iron?’
Arnold Schwarzenegger launched to fame after his cult 1977 documentary, Pumping Iron, catapulted him to the masses. The doc focused on his victory over Lou Ferrigno in the 1975 Mr. Olympia contest.
According to Page Six, Arnold is in discussions to make a scripted TV series about the Pumping Iron era. Though it’s not clear what’s to be expected from the series (we imagine it to be a somewhat Glow-inspired theme), apparently producers are already scouting locations — which of course includes the famed Muscle Beach in Venice, California.
A rep told Page Six, “We don’t comment on ongoing negotiations.”
