‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ Is Quentin Tarantino’s Biggest Film Opening Ever
Have you seen Once Upon a Time in Hollywood yet? Whether you did or not, Quentin Tarantino is celebrating that he broke his own box-office record.
The director’s latest film opened in theaters on Friday to $40 million, according to Variety. Prior to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the director’s highest grossing movie opening was Inglorious Basterds, which opened to $38 million in 2009.
The film was just behind The Lion King, which added another $75.5 million over the weekend, with a total of $350 million at the domestic box office since its debut on July 19.
