You gotta hand it to Anne Hathaway. The actress has been THROUGH it the last few years, following the uprising of the “Hatha-haters,” a group of folks who don’t like her and have no qualms about voicing it online.

Regardless, she’s held her head high, and is reminding everyone why she’s an Oscar-winning actress in Amazon’s new series Modern Love, where she plays someone with bipolar disorder who’s navigating romance.

As Page Six reports, “at a Television Critics Association meeting this weekend, she said the role gave her a heightened compassion for people with mental illnesses who can’t walk away once the cameras stop rolling.”

Furthermore, Anne added that she hopes telling stories like this will open up the conversation surrounding mental illness. Yes girl!
