Faye Dunaway Was Fired From Show After Slapping Crew Member

Faye Dunaway has been fired from the Broadway-bound play Tea at Five due to multiple complaints that she’s been hostile, even dangerous, to production members.

Apparently, crew members were fearing for their safety, several sources told The Post. The play is currently running at the Huntington Theater in Boston, and in it, Faye was playing Katharine Hepburn.

Reportedly, the July 10 performance was canceled after Faye slapped and threw things at crew members who were trying to put on her wig. Enraged at the cancellation, the actress began “verbally abusing” the crew. They were “fearful for their safety,” said a source at The Post.

The producers of the play said in a statement they had “terminated their relationship” with Faye. Tea at Five was well received in Boston, and is now going to London in the spring with a new actress.
