Russell Crowe Has Apparent ‘Freak Out’ Over Roger Ailes Introduction

During a panel discussion about the Showtime series The Loudest Voice, where Russell Crowe plays the late Fox News chairman Roger Ailes, the Australian actor had a minor freak out.

According to Page Six, Russell had a tirade when the host introduced him to the stage in a way that cast Roger in a bad light.

“[The intro] was harmless,” a source pointed out. “But Russell threw himself into a rage as soon as he heard it. It had not been preapproved by his people. He refused to walk out on the stage. He was screaming at people and then just stormed out onto the street.”

Apparently, Sienna Miller, Naomi Watts, Annabelle Wallis and Seth MacFarlane were already onstage during the incident.

The host, Ricky Camilleri, had referred to Roger as as “someone who bullied journalists and politicians,” reports Page Six, and that he was a “sick person.”

Russell ultimately returned to the building to do a press interview in the basement. But even after organizers apologized to him, Russell was still fuming.

“He completely unloaded on the host!” a source said.

However, Russell’s rep told Page Six: “This is not correct. Russell did not ‘freak out,’ and there was no ‘curse-filled tirade.’ He simply made the decision not to do the interview following the host’s intro.”
