Serena Williams finally got a Wheaties Box!

While the superstar tennis player has been featured in numerous magazines (and has won 23 grand slam singles titles, 14 grand slam doubles titles and four Olympic gold medals), she’s never gotten the cover of a Wheaties box.

Of course, she couldn’t have been more grateful. We love you, Serena!

In 2001, Wheaties paid homage to a true champion and an icon by putting her on the cover of a Wheaties Box. Althea Gibson was the FIRST Black Woman tennis player to be on the box. Today, I am honored to be the second.
