Stan Lee’s Ex Business Manager Charged With Elder Abuse

The late Stan Lee died in November 2018, and now his ex business manager, Keya Morgan, has been taken into custody and arrested on elder abuse charges.

According to reports, Keya is facing felony charges of elder abuse that include theft, embezzlement, forgery, and fraud against the Marvel Comic legend. There’s also an accusation of false imprisonment.

Police claim the ex manager took advantage of Stan’s wealth and wanted to have influence over him, despite the fact that he had no authority to act on his behalf since he wasn’t a relative.

He stole over $262,000 from autograph signing sessions Lee did in May 2018, authorities say. At a certain point, Keya moved Stan in with him so that he could have “more control over Lee,” according to police.

Stan’s daughter had requested a restraining order last year against Keya, citing that he was preventing her father from seeing his loved ones. But at that point, much of the damage had been done.

Keya’s bail is set at $300,000.
