It’s been officially confirmed that Matt Lauer will not be joining CNN.

Head honcho Jeff Zucker addressed the rumors online, after numerous claims that he would be making a return to TV after he was let go due to numerous sexual misconduct allegations.

“There is absolutely no truth at all in the reports that Matt is coming to CNN,” Jeff stated bluntly.

Jeff was Matt’s boss on the Today show in 1992 and the pair remained good friends after the exec moved up the ladder at NBC, and later became head of CNN.

The two were seen in the Hamptons together earlier last month, which prompted the rumors of his return. Are we sad about this?
