‘Girls Trip’ Sequel Is Supposedly Stalled For Now
Everyone was so excited for a Girls Trip sequel, but apparently it seems like we’re going to have to wait. According to Tiffany Haddish, it’s currently stalled.
Tiffany attended the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Night of Comedy this weekend when an audience member asked about the anticipated sequel.
“I wish there was, I hope there is. I have been petitioning for it.” she shared, “I’ve even written a script for it. Me and the girls punched it up and made it good. They don’t want it. We understood how much money could be made, and they don’t want to pay it. So I doubt it.”
She added, “So we’re just going to make our own movie — called ‘Is She on the Trip?’ Ooooh.”
According to Page Six, though, a rep from Universal Studios said: “There was no script submitted for a ‘Girls Trip’ sequel and no film is currently in development.”
Well whatever the truth is, we NEED a Girls Trip 2 right?
