Julie Andrews’s New Memoir ‘Home Work’ Is Going To Spill So Much Tea

Julie Andrews is more than just a movie star. She’s an icon.

Now, the icon is writing her first memoir, Home: A Memoir of My Early Years, where she will touch on her early years in vaudeville and Hollywood.

“Not only does [Julie Andrews] discuss her work in now-classic films and her collaborations with giants of cinema and television; she also unveils her personal story of adjusting to a new and often daunting world,” a press stated, “dealing with the demands of unimaginable success, being a new mother, the end of her first marriage, embracing two step-children, adopting two more children, and falling in love with the brilliant and mercurial Blake Edwards.”

The Times released a small excerpt as well: “My mother was terribly important to me, and I know how much I yearned for her in my youth, but I don’t think I truly trusted her.”

Woah! The book also apparently touches on her arrival in Hollywood, and what was really happening behind the scenes of Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music.

Above all though, we’re going to learn about her family and her love with the departed Blake Edwards. Who’s excited to read this book?!

Home Work is available for pre-order now.
