Meghan McCain, Alyssa Milano Defend Joe Biden Amid Harassment Accusation
Meghan McCain and Alyssa Milano are supporting their friend Joe Biden against another accusation of work harassment.
On Monday, Amy Lappos came forward to The Hartford Courant, claiming that Joe grabbed her head and rubbed his nose on hers during a political fundraiser 10 years ago. She is the second woman to accuse him of inappropriate behavior.
Lucy Flores, a former Nevada politician, also alleged that Joe touched her shoulders without consent.
Joe has denied any of these allegations, though he has not addressed Amy’s accusations at this point in time.
Meghan and Alyssa have come forward to defend Joe in separate tweets, arguing that his intentions were never meant to make anyone uncomfortable.
I am proud to call Joe Biden a friend. He has been a leader and a champion on fighting violence against women for many years, and I have been fortunate to accompany him to events with survivors where he has listened to their stories, empathized with them, and comforted them. pic.twitter.com/cI0jsKlu3P

Joe Biden is one of the truly decent and compassionate men in all of American politics. He has helped me through my fathers diagnosis, treatment and ultimate passing more than anyone of my fathers friends combined. I wish there was more empathy from our politicians not less.
