Fox News Apologizes After Calling 3 Central-American Countries ‘Mexican’

Fox & Friends is in hot water after making a geographical snafu.

The network displayed an on-air graphic incorrectly, labeling three Central-American countries as all belonging to Mexico. At the time, they were reporting on Donald Trump’s plan to cut millions of dollars in aid to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

The banner read: “Trump cuts U.S. aid to 3 Mexican countries.”

Co-host Ed Henry later issued an on-air apology:

“We want to clarify and correct something that happened earlier in the show. We had an incorrect graphic on screen while talking about this very story,” he said. “We just want to be clear: The funding is being cut off to the three Central-American countries. We apologize for the error. It never should have happened.”
