Cuteness Alert! Blind Golden Retriever Has His Own Seeing Eye Dog

Who knew that even dogs need their own seeing eye dogs!

Charlie is an 11-year-old golden retriever, and in 2016 his owners Adam and Chelsea Stipe had to have his left eye removed because he was suffering from glaucoma. Then a year later, Charlie’s other eye also needed to be taken out, causing him to go completely blind.

As Today reports, the adorable golden now has a new pal to help him navigate the world — a 4-month-old puppy named Maverick.

The North Carolina couple brought Maverick home in January, People reports, and though the two didn’t initially get along, they’ve since become close buds — with Charlie relying on the puppy for nearly everything, from walking, playing, eating, and even using him as a pillow!

“They’re both pretty crazy and special,” Chelsea told Today. “They’re definitely our entertainment.”
