Supermodel Cindy Crawford has a few makeup tricks up her sleeve, but apparently her husband couldn’t care less.

In a new beauty tutorial video for Vogue, the icon revealed that if it were up to her husband Rande Gerber, he’d prefer if she never wore makeup at all. In the video, she showed viewers her everyday makeup routine.

“My husband hates makeup, so this is already too much makeup for him,” she said about half-way through the tutorial. “But I do explain to him that women do makeup for other women, not men.”

“I have found as I’ve gotten older I wear way less makeup,” she said during the session. “I would say that’s the biggest evolution for me which is kind of counter intuitive, but that also means that taking care of your skin is more important because you’re not covering it up with makeup.”
