President Trump Referred To Apple CEO Tim Cook As Tim ‘Apple’

In an effort to make people laugh (which he should never try to do), President Donald Trump got a little mixed up this week while praising Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Or, as he called him, “Tim Apple.”

In a meeting at the White House for the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board, Trump sat down with daughter Ivanka Trump, Tim Cook and others to lead a discussion about the importance of technology-related jobs and education.

As People reports, footage shows Trump praising the tech mogul for his contributions in the field before getting his name wrong while sitting right next to him.

“We’re going to be opening up the labor forces, because we have to,” Trump said. “We have so many companies coming in. People like Tim, you’re expanding all over and doing things that I really wanted you to right from the beginning. I used to say, ‘Tim, you got to start doing it over here.’”

“And you really have, I mean you’ve really put a big investment in our country,” Trump continued. “We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple.”

Yeah… just don’t even try.
