Ryan Reynolds Pays Tribute To John Candy On Anniversary of His Death

It’s been 25 years since the death of comedian John Candy, and Ryan Reynolds is remembering the comedy and acting legend.

Ryan posted a sentimental tribute video to John, who was found dead in a Mexican hotel room on March 4, 1994 while working on his last movie, Wagons East. He is thought to have died from a heart attack, though no autopsy was performed.

“It’s the 25th anniversary of John Candy’s passing. We cooked up a small tribute to a comedic genius and Canadian hero. If you haven’t seen much of his work, take a look at his films. He was a treasure. Thanks to @chriscandy4u and @therealjencandy,” Ryan wrote alongside the video, thanking John’s kids Christopher and Jennifer.

RIP, John!
