Andy Cohen set the record straight with Lisa Rinna on Watch What Happens Live, revealing the reason why he didn’t reach out to her for the first season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. 

On the “After Show” segment, a caller questioned why she had not been on the show since the beginning. That’s when Andy admitted that he and producers had spoken to her prior to Season 1, but decided she was not a good fit at the time.

“I didn’t get it,” he confessed. “I felt like it should be all unknown people — even though Kim [Richards] and Kyle [Richards] had acted years before. I felt like Lisa Rinna was too much of a personality and name.”

Thankfully, she joined in Season 5 and has since been an audience favorite!
