Lady Gaga Defends Cardi B’s Grammy Drama on Twitter

When Cardi B received a bit of hate on Twitter after becoming the first female to ever win best rap album at the Grammys, Lady Gaga was having none of it.

“It is so hard to be a woman in this industry,” Gaga tweeted in response to the hate against Cardi. “What it takes, how hard we work through the disrespectful challenges, just to make art. I love you Cardi. You deserve your awards. Let’s celebrate her fight. Lift her up & honor her. She is brave.”

The drama was heightened by Mac Miller fans, who are pissed that Cardi beat him for best rap album. It became even more of a thing when Ariana Grande tweeted about it.

Furthermore, Cardi was also pissed at BET for coming for Nicki Minaj in a tweet that pitted the two women against each other.

As a result of all the drama, Cardi unexpectedly deleted her entire Instagram account in response to all the hate, and she posted a video explaining her decision beforehand.
