‘Black Panther’ Is Coming Back to Theaters For Black History Month

Black Panther is riding the wave of their recent SAG Award win.

Yesterday, Disney announced that the movie (which was the highest-grossing film in the country last year) will be returning to theaters for one week only in celebration of Black History Month. It will be screening for free at 250 participating AMC theaters around the country from Feb. 1-7.

Disney also announced they would be donating a $1.5 million grant to the United Negro College Fund.

Chadwick Boseman accepted the SAG Award this weekend on behalf of his cast, thanking director Ryan Coogler: “We all know what it’s like to be told there’s not a screen for you to be featured on, there’s not a stage for you to be featured on. We know what it’s like to be the tail and not the head. We know what it’s like to be beneath and not above.”

Well not anymore! WAKANDA FOREVER!
