WATCH: Hilary Duff As Sharon Tate Will Scare The Bejesus Out Of You

Hilary Duff is more than just her roles in Lizzie McGuire and Younger. The actress is truly spreading her wings and taking on dramatic roles, including playing Sharon Tate in the forthcoming The Haunting of Sharon Tate.

With the 50th anniversary of the Manson murders in August of this year, Hollywood is gearing up by producing multiple projects about the infamous murders — including Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, starring Margot Robbie, and Tate, starring Kate Bosworth.

In Hilary’s version, Sharon Tate becomes the heroine of a horror movie while having premonitions of her own death.

“I guess you could say I live in a fairytale,” she says in the trailer, referring to husband Roman Polanski and their luxury home. “Looking at everything through rose-colored glasses.”

The film goes on to reimagine the case of the Manson murders, which saw an eight-and-a-half month pregnant Tate stabbed to death, along with four friends. Are we actually ready for this?
