‘CBS This Morning’ Might Get Pulled Off The Air

The future of CBS This Morning is up in the air, according to Page Six, who claims that network execs are ready to kill the struggling morning show and rebuild it from the ground up.

When Charlie Rose exited the show due to numerous sexual harassment allegations, ratings (among other things) declined. Now, executives have come to believe that the show is not going to recover at all.

“There are real discussions about just starting over — anchors, format, producers. Everything is on the table,” said an insider. The show’s own executive producer, Ryan Kadro, is apparently negotiating his exit as well, which prompted the whole idea of starting over in the first place.

Recently, CBS paid individual settlements to various Charlie Rose accusers.

One network insider insisted to Page Six that the timing really is just an “unfortunate coincidence,” and CBS said, “These conversations are unrelated to the settlement.”
