Yesterday, Aziz Ansari announced his return to the comedy stage, which made people wonder: whatever happened to the woman behind the infamous dating story that put a hold on his career?

Turns out, reporter Katie Way has since moved on from Babe.net and now works at Cannabis Now magazine. In January, Katie, who was a staffer at babe.net, published a woman’s anonymous account of a date with Aziz that went wrong.

In the piece, she claimed he wasn’t picking up cues that she wasn’t enjoying their sexual experience (even though it was consensual). Many women thought her accusations hurt the #MeToo movement and discussions around consent. Her story has since become a controversial topic. 

Whatever the case may be, we hope both Katie and Aziz can move on!
