Robert De Niro Speaks Out On His Separation From Ex-Wife Grace Hightower
Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower have parted ways after nearly two decades of marriage. Now, the film legend is finally breaking his silence.
“Grace and I have two beautiful children together,” he said in a statement. “We are entering a period of transition in our relationship which is a difficult but constructive process.” He added, “I honor Grace as a wonderful mother and ask for privacy and respect from all as we proceed to develop our roles as partners in parenting.”
According to sources at Page Six, Robert had been attending events solo since the summer.
Buzz quickly spread that the couple was breaking up, and soon after insiders close to the couple later confirmed they were living apart. They’ve been together since 1997.
