Gerard Butler’s Malibu home was torched by the devastating Woolsey Fire over the weekend, and the actor choked up with TMZ speaking about the people who’ve lost everything. 

“It’s just really sad,” he said on Monday outside his Malibu property. “I feel bad. … There are so many communities here, trailer parks and suburban working-class houses that are completely destroyed, and people have lost everything.”

Gerard took a moment to compose himself and looked down at the ground before adding, “A lot of people up and down California have lost everything.” As for his own, “It could have been a lot worse,” he said, adding, “A lot of it is damaged.”
