Whoopi Goldberg stars in Tyler Perry’s film Nobody’s Fool with Tike Sumpter and Tiffany Haddish, who plays a woman released from jail then reunites with her sister.

In a nutshell, she is incredible in it. And now the host of The View is reminding the world who she really is: an incredible actor. 

“When I first started… No one had seen someone that looked like me,” she said to Page Six at the film’s New York premiere. “Thirty-five years ago no one looked like me. I laugh now when I see women on TV with dreadlocks. But I am still seeing folks in the military have a hard time being able to have dreads, so we have not gone that far yet. But yeah 35, 40 years ago I was an oddity.”

Given the context of the show, Goldberg shares, “I have been asked by people to bail them out of jail…  I still do!” 

She added, “Sometimes I do bail them out, but you know there is a whole bunch of stuff that I would not bail folks out of jail for. If it is light and silly, and maybe you just stepped in some s–t. I may let you sit for a day or two.”
