Ricki Lake Wants To Find Love Again After Ex-Husband’s Death
Ricki Lake hasn’t given up hope to find love following the death of her ex-husband, Christian Evans, who killed himself at age 45 after dealing with a long battle of bipolar disorder.
“I found true love with my husband who passed so I’m hoping to find love again,” she told People’s Chatter. “I don’t think I will. I’m open to it, but I think what I had — I was so lucky to have found that, it’s what everybody wants in life.”
She added of Christian, “I had true, unconditional love so I’d like to have something along those lines again. But I feel like lightning doesn’t strike twice… I had the real deal. I just didn’t have it as long as I wanted it.”
The two were engaged in August 2011 and married by April 2012. While she filed for divorce in 2014, they remained a couple until 2016.
