Jay Leno referred to Lea Delaria as a “lesbian woman” when he was on stage at the Hudson River Park Gala. The former Tonight Show host was auctioning off a yacht party with Lea when she felt obligated to heckle him when he referred to her as a “lesbian woman.”

“You know you don’t have to say ‘lesbian woman.’ It’s implied,” she apparently shouted back from the audience, according to Page Six. 

But she didn’t stop there. When Jay mentioned the word “lesbian” again, Lea screamed out: “I am not a lesbian! I am a dyke! Get it right. I don’t do that alphabet, LGBTQ thing. By the time you get to all of those letters, the parade is over!”

At the end of the night, the gala raised over $3.25 million for Hudson River Park.

And by the way, a tour of Leno’s garage in LA went for $100,000. (Better be worth it!)
