Ryan Coogler Is Back To Write & Direct ‘Black Panther 2’
Filmmaker Ryan Coogler isn’t leaving Wakanda anytime soon.
The writer and director is apparently returning to write and direct the sequel to Black Panther, which he co-wrote and directed. The film became the third biggest box office success in American history, earning $1.3 billion worldwide and $700 million in the states.
An anonymous source close to the production confirmed his return to the Marvel franchise on Thursday, and The Hollywood Reporter was first to report Ryan’s widely expected involvement in the sequel.
