Crew Member Killed After Falling On The Set Of Mister Rogers Film
A crew member who was working on the set of the Tom Hanks-led biopic about Mister Rogers, You Are My Friend, has died after falling two stories off a balcony in Western Pennsylvania.
Allegheny County authorities say James Emswiller, 61, fell on Thursday during a break in filming. He was involved in the sound production of the film, which was shooting a scene in Mount Lebanon. Police say he fell over a brick wall on the balcony at an apartment building.
Tom Hanks was apparently at the site, but later left. It’s unclear whether he was witness to James’s fall.
