Bradley Whitford Wants A ‘West Wing’ Reboot

With all these reboots happening, it was only a matter of time before The West Wing started to enter the pipeline. After Martin Sheen told Page Six he’d be “delighted” to star in a reboot, now costar Bradley Whitford is chiming in.

“If there was some version of it that Aaron was really into, and you could get the band back together, [then] yea,” he said to Page Six. “I think there’s a healthy fear. You want to get out before your banana turns brown, and that was such an amazing experience, my sense is that Aaron is justifiably cautious about doing something that wouldn’t live up to what we did.”

Of his character, James Barksdale, the founder of Netscape, the actor said, “the more I learned about this guy the more I loved him,” and described the show as the “origin story of the world we live in that we so quickly have taken for granted but didn’t exist 30 years ago.”
