A ‘Bewitched’ Reboot Is Coming To ABC, And They’re Going To Be Biracial!
Everyone’s favorite witch, Samantha Stevens, is coming to the Disney network: ABC.
A single-camera, interracial blended family comedy band on the 1960s sitcom of the same name, Bewitched, will be coming from Black-ish creator Kenya Barris. Now that’s a spell I’d like to cast!
According to a synopsis of the new show, Samantha is a hardworking black single mom who happens to be a witch. She marries Darren, a white mortal who happens to be a bit of a slacker. Together, they struggle to navigate their differences as she discovers that even when a black girl is literally magic, she’s still not as powerful as a decently tall white man with a full head of hair in America.
