Princess Diana’s Niece Wore Her Aunt’s Wedding Tiara For Her Big Day

Celia McCorquodale, Princess Diana’s niece, wore her aunt’s famous Spencer Tiara for her own wedding, which was worn by Diana in 1981.

According to reports, the tiara belongs to the Spencer family, who can trace their lineage back to the Tudor period. Although the Spencer Tiara has been shown to the public through various museum exhibitions over the past few decades, it had not been publicly worn since Princess Diana’s death in 1997.

Diana’s sisters — Lady Sarah and Jane, Baroness Fellowes — also wore the family tiara for their wedding days. Victoria Lockwood, who was the first wife of Diana’s brother Charles, the current Earl of Spencer, wore it when she married into the family in 1989.
