Jane Fonda has subtly begun campaigning to work with director Quentin Tarantino, while she and Michael Madsen (a longtime Quentin collaborator) were filming an online talk show for L’Oreal in Cannes on Monday.

“Yeah, in a blue minute I’d work with Quentin. Not a director like Quentin – I’d like to work with Quentin,” she said to Michael. “Can you put in a good word for me?”

His response: “As long as we’re in it together.” Michael is set to reunite with Quentin on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which will be set against the backdrop of the Manson Family murders and will star Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt.
