Two Big TV Shows Planning To Cover Bill Clinton’s Impeachment Were Canceled

Ryan Murphy’s planned American Crime Story and the History Channel’s upcoming planned show, both about Bill Clinton’s impeachment, have been canceled.

The latter, based on Peter Baker’s New York Times best-seller, was set to go inside the aftermath of the Lewinsky scandal and the push to force Clinton out of the White House. AHS was going to center around Monica Lewinsky and the ruckus that happened there.

With Ryan’s show, he recalled to The Hollywood Reporter about running into Monica in which he encouraged her to be in control of the way her side of the scandal is told: “I told her, ‘Nobody should tell your story but you, and it’s kind of gross if they do. If you want to produce it with me, I would love that; but you should be the producer and you should make all the goddamn money.’”
