Not Surprisingly, Stormy Daniels Boosted ‘60 Minutes’ Ratings

Stormy Daniels boosted the ratings hardcore on 60 Minutes last night with her interview about her affair with Donald Trump.

Deadline reported based on overnights that the show hit 16.3/27 in the 56 Nielsen-metered markets, which is a huge jump from the previous Sunday’s.

In the interview, Stormy described her alleged 2006 fling with Donald Trump. She also said she was threatened in 2011 over an interview where she said she had unprotected sex with him.

After the interview, Anderson Cooper told CBSNews.com, “For us, it wasn’t so much ‘there was an affair.’ That’s not as much the headline. For us, it’s everything that has happened since and how we’ve gotten to this point. I think there’s more to come on this story. I’m not saying necessarily on Stormy Daniels’ aspect of the story, but on the methods that were used to keep her silent. If Stormy Daniels’ story is true that a thug came up to her in a parking lot in Las Vegas in 2011 — this is long before Donald Trump was a presidential candidate — I mean, if somebody is using intimidation tactics, physical intimidation tactics, it’s probably not the first time they’ve done it.”
