WHAT! Someone Almost Stole Frances McDormand’s Oscar Last Night
According to USA Today, Frances McDormand was getting her trophy engraved at the Governors Ball last night and misplaced her trophy. According to reports, she’d “set it down and was chatting.”
“Security at the Governors Ball are looking for this guy, who grabbed Frances McDormand’s Oscar and ran out with it,” NY Times reporter Cara Buckley wrote. “Wolfgang Puck’s photographer stopped him, got the Oscar back, and the guy disappeared back into the ball. Apparently Frances has said to let him go.”
The two are happily reunited, but the man has yet to be identified.
