Lupita Nyong’o To Play Trevor Noah’s Mom In Upcoming Biopic
Lupita Nyong’o is playing Trevor Noah’s mom in a new biopic about the Daily Show host called Born A Crime, based on Noah’s autobiography.
In the book, Noah writes about growing up in post-apartheid South Africa as the son of a white father and black mother who had trouble fitting in. His mother, Patricia, grew up in a hut with 14 occupants and took her son to three churches every Sunday, a prayer meeting on Tuesday, Bible study on Wednesday, and youth church on Thursday.
