NYPD Sgt. Brendan Ryan made a statement last night about two new rape allegations against Russell Simmons: “The NYPD has received information regarding allegations involving Russell Simmons in the New York City area, and our detectives are in the process of reviewing that information,” he said.

Last month, The Post reported that NYPD’s special victims unit was investigating other complaints against the hip-hop mogul — up to nearly seven women.
