JAY-Z has a new docuseries coming out centering around Trayvon Martin, the boy who was murdered by George Zimmerman in Florida, whose case ignited a firestorm and jumpstarted the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter.

It’s called Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story, and the George Zimmerman himself blasted JAY-Z and the producers in a recent interview with The Blast, saying that they harassed his family for interviews and footage. He even said he’d beat JAY-Z and feed him to “an alligator” because “I know how to handle people who f–k with me, I have since February 2012.”

Snoop Dog responded to George Zimmerman on Instagram, defending JAY-Z, saying if he touched him the revolution would be “televised.” He then went on to criticize “the system” and called Zimmerman a “bitch ass muthaf—a.”

Rest In Power was picked up earlier this year for the 2018 relaunch of Spike as the Paramount Network. Harvey Weinstein was an original producer, but given his own controversy his company has backed away.
