‘Transparent’ Star Accuses Jeffrey Tambor of Sexual Assault

After vehemently denying his prior sexual assault allegation, Jeffrey Tambor is now in the waves of another — this time by his own Transparent costar, Trace Lisette.

Trace is part of TV history as being one of only a handful of trans actresses having intimate relations with a cisgender man onscreen. She also plays an HIV-positive character (again, one of only a few on screen), though she is HIV-negative in real life.

Trace says Jeffrey made lewd, sexually suggestive and unwelcome remarks to her several times, and once pressed up against her during a break in filming in a “sexually aggressive manner,” according to Deadline.

Amazon is already investigating Jeffrey after his prior allegation.

He’s since released an apology: “I am deeply sorry if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone as being sexually aggressive or if I ever offended or hurt anyone. But the fact is, for all my flaws, I am not a predator and the idea that someone might see me in that way is more distressing than I can express.”

Trace hasn’t filed an official complaint with Amazon. Funny enough, writers had already been thinking of ways to write Jeffrey’s character off next season even before Trace’s allegations.
