Tom Hanks knows how to pull of a nice marriage proposal, and he makes an even better wing man!

The actor used his appearance at the Texas Book Festival to help a man propose. He was signing autographs for his new book Uncommon Type: Some Stories when at one point he told the crowd that he was bored of taking questions and wanted to ask one himself.

Then, he pulled a piece of paper and said a man in the crowd, Ryan McFarling, had a question for a women named Nikki Young: “Nikki, will you marry me?”

Then the couple went on stage where he got on one knee.
