Piers Morgan Put Mariah Carey on the Spot About Las Vegas Shooting, Fans Didn’t Like It

During an interview on Good Morning Britain, Piers Morgan asked Mariah Carey about the shooting in Las Vegas, of which she had no idea of at the time as the news was just breaking.

The singer was supposed to be chatting with the cohosts about her Christmas tour, and the interview took place in her home via satellite. But when the incident broke, he switched to asking questions about the tragedy.

“This is horrible. I pray for the victims.” As he showed her live scenes, she responded: “That’s awful. I pray for the victims. I hope all this can stop. This type of thing happening anyway is a huge tragedy. I hope we have an end to this as soon as possible.”

Now, viewers are frustrated, many of them feeling sorry for Mariah for being put on the spot, and others (who just tuned in) wondering why the hell she was sitting in front of a Christmas tree.

“So tasteless breaking the Vegas news to Mariah Carey live on TV, shame on you,” one Twitter user said.

Another wrote: “I feel sorry for Mariah, she should have been briefed about the shooting before the interview,”

“Someone should have spoken to Mariah off air letting her know what was going on then post poned, instead of throwing that at her,” said another.
