Meghan McCain Confirms She Is Joining ‘The View’ to Replace Jedidiah Bila

After Jedidiah Bila left The View a couple weeks ago, many were speculating that Meghan McCain would be replacing her — turns out, they were right!

The conservative, and daughter of John McCain, will be sitting in the cohost chair. The news comes days after she left Fox News, and she’s expected to start in early October.

Insiders told Page Six that ABC wanted Meghan because the show needed a stronger conservative voice, sort of in the realm of Elizabeth Hasselbeck — who left in 2013.

Hosts have been rotating left and right since Barbara Walters left in May 2014, with Sherri Shepherd, Rose O’Donnell, Nicole Wallace, Rosie Perez, Raven-Symone, Michelle Collins, Candace Cameron Bure, and Jedidiah Bila all warming up a seat.

Since Trump came into office, The View has climbed in ratings, averaging 2.8 million viewers a day.
