Last week, fans were shocked to hear that Jedidah Bila was leaving The View. And on Instagram, the former cohost took some time to thank her fans:

“Thank you to all the fans who laugh with me, challenge me, and defend my right to do what I do and say what I say whether you agree with my views or not,” she wrote. “I only have the platform that I do because of your support and openness, and there isn’t a moment I forget that. Like so many of you, I am a free thinker with an independent spirit and an allegiance to principles over any Party or political machine. Stay tuned, there’s a lot more to come.”

Sources say that Jedidiah received backlash from The View producers following Hillary Clinton’s interview. Apparently they didn’t like the tough questions she asked her, seeing as they wanted her to come back time and time again.

“There was a lot of staff who were upset about how that interview was handled,” a source told Page Six. “They had a lot to say to Jedediah about calming things down.”

I am beyond humbled by all of the kind comments on social media I’ve seen from fans this week. Thank you to all the fans who laugh with me, challenge me, and defend my right to do what I do and say what I say whether you agree with my views or not. I only have the platform that I do because of your support and openness, and there isn’t a moment that I forget that.
