The CW and WB are developing The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a Sabrina the Teenage Witch-centric Riverdale spinoff, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The new show will reimagine the original and adventures of the original story of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which was actually pretty dark and coming-of-age. Her half-witch, half-mortal life will of course battle evil — all while she tries to attend high school.

The project is being eyed for the 2018-2019 season next to Riverdale.

Riverdale executive producer Robert Aguirre-Scasa will write and executive produce the new show, and apparently the character of Sabrina is rumored to appear on Riverdale itself.

And if you’re expecting to see any kind of relation to Melissa Joan Hart’s version, you’d be dead wrong. Producers say this will be much darker — we can’t wait!
