Who knew that Joseph Gordon-Levitt could be so needed in the political climate today? Apparently, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau credits the actor for inspiring him to call himself a “feminist.”

As he told a crowd this week at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Goalkeepers event:

“I saw a video in 2014 of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, saying ‘Yeah, I’m a feminist’ . . . It wasn’t that, ‘Oh, I’m going to follow his lead.’ It was like, ‘Oh, OK, it’s OK for men to say that they are feminists in a public sense. Great, I’m going to finally do that.”

Wow… thanks Joseph!
