Can You Believe That Judi Dench Still Worries About Getting Acting Jobs?
Renowned actor Judi Dench started in the theater — where jobs are slim already, so the natural instinct is to always be on the lookout. Even now, at 82-years-old, those feelings are still with the Oscar winner.
Recently, at a Q&A for her new movie Victoria and Abdul, she spoke of her career: “It’s so much a question of luck. I constantly worry. I just want to be employed. I want to work . . . and I don’t want that word, R-E-T-I-R-E. I’m sick of it.”
She added: “And I’m sick of being called a national treasure, too!”
Judi has been hanging around New York City this week.
